Hands up if you're finding that using last year's marketing tactics in 2021 is giving you a little knot in your tummy. Something just doesn't feel right. That niggly feeling is worth paying attention to because that's your intuition giving you a message. It's telling you that you're so much more than you know.

Here's the crux of it...

While a year of lessons, 2020 was more than just the year the pandemic changed business. It was also the year the pandemic changed us! As a people. As entrepreneurs. As consumers. As mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and as friends.

That fundamental change is connectivity. It is the end of "us" versus "them" as we're all united by a heightened sense of compassion for the tremendous loss unfolding before our very eyes. It doesn't matter what we believe, we've all been irrevocably changed. So how can old tactics still work as they did before? They simply cannot.

In the post-pandemic world, it is the entrepreneurs embracing "we" that's changing the world. This requires a radical change in the way we view marketing. It requires that we bring SPIRIT into marketing.

Why Spirit? According to Wealth Dynamics, we're all 100% Spirit frequency and when we fully embrace spirit, we're all one. We're all creativity. We're all empathy. We're all omniscient. We're all abundance. Why marketing? Because marketing is how you choose to connect to the people who will eventually become your customers. Are you choosing "me" versus "you" or are you choosing "we"?

Here’s how it looks in practice...

First a quick text-book definition of marketing: Marketing is the process of bringing people to a place where they perform an action that leads to the selling of a product or service at a profit. This can be broken down into four key buying decision-making stages in the mind of your potential customer:

  1. They become aware.
  2. They search for more information.
  3. They’re ready to make the purchase.
  4. They’ve made the purchase and they’re either happy, unhappy, or disinterested because they’re already moved on to the next product.

As a marketer, your role is to meet them at each of these stages:

  1. Create awareness.
  2. Provide an engaging space for them to obtain the information they need quickly and easily.
  3. Facilitate the commitment.
  4. Build an ongoing relationship.

EACH STAGE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT DEEPLY WITH POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. ARE YOU USING THIS OPPORTUNITY?

With traditional marketing, the focus is on making the sale. This comes from a place of lack and makes it profit-driven instead of an authentic interaction. With vibrational marketing, the focus is on ensuring that you are vibrating at your highest possible frequency at each stage of their journey. According to the Law of Attraction, they will automatically respond to you.

  1. When creating awareness, connect to your Dynamo frequency: How are you authentically expressing your inherent creativity? What is the unique marketing message from your heart to theirs? Which platforms are you using to convey this message?
Example Dynamo marketing activity: Create a series of Facebook posts, including images and videos, that express your heart-felt marketing messages.

  2. When providing an engaging space for those wanting to know more, connect to your Tempo frequency. How are you using empathy to tap into what your community members need? In which ways are your five senses allowing you to listen with your heart instead of hearing only with your ears?
Example Tempo marketing activity: From your Facebook posts created in the previous step, invite people to your Facebook group, business page, or interactive website where you encourage engagement with you, your team, and other community members.

  3. When facilitating the commitment, tap into your Steel frequency. Knowing that you are omniscient and can access all the details you need simply by raising your vibration, in which ways can you help those who are engaging with you in a way that’s unique to their needs without worrying about the 'how"?
Example Steel marketing activity: From your interactive Facebook group, page or website, encourage a call where you’re able to hear your potential client’s concerns and questions and respond from a place of being present. Or have a chatbot on your website that facilitates this discussion on your behalf. Also ensure an easy-to-purchase process.

  4. When building a relationship, tap into your Blaze frequency. Knowing that there is an abundance of everything for everyone, how can you continue to add value to your clients? How can you collaborate with them to make this world a better place for everyone?
Example Blaze marketing activity: Once someone has purchased, have a series of follow-up personalised emails ready to ensure they’re happy with their purchase or, if feasible, arrange an onboarding call or webinar to help them make the most of their purchase. Find ways in which your strengths complement one another to create something new.

Please feel free to try it and let me know. Bring this level of awareness when implementing your marketing strategy without worrying about your next sale. In your mind's eye while focusing on your heart, imagine your marketing strategy already yielding success beyond measure. Does the knot in your tummy disappear?

By the way, another word for Spirit is "faith."
