Event
The first Tunbridge Wells 'Virtual' Social will be held on the auspicious day of 'Earth Day', Wednesday 22nd April. As it's the FIRST ONE, I have decided to make it a FREE event.
It is also the first virtual event that I will have hosted so please bear with me whilst I find my feet!
It will follow a slightly different format to the live events as we won't have the opportunity to network in quite the same way. Please read below for more details of how I see the event running and who it is for.
About the virtual event
I will start with an intro and, depending on numbers, I will give everyone the chance to say 'hello' and mention what level of business they're at - whether you're an 'intrapreneur' (someone who has entrepreneurial spirit that is working as part of an organisation), a 'wantrapreneur' (someone who has aspirations of running their own business) or a more seasoned entrepreneur - of which there are many levels - start up, through to the likes of Richard Branson! If you'd rather not introduce yourself that's fine too.
As per the live events, we will be joined by a business owner to share the story of their entrepreneurial journey, the highs and lows, and how they're running a successful business that is having a positive social and/or environmental impact. This month, I am delighted to be welcoming Sarah Palmer of 'Women who Count', it will be an interesting conversation and relevant to the changing needs we are all faced with. We will talk about facing adversity, flexible working and how business can be a force for good.
Following the talk, I will invite questions. There will also be an opportunity to share insights as well as requests for support and opportunities to share. I'm expecting the meeting to last for 90 minutes, it could be longer or shorter depending on how many of you can join us.
If you'd like to join our community of entrepreneurs who believe that business can be a force for good, you can find us on facebook @inspireimpactrtw.
