Entrepreneur Social Sydney is part of Global Entrepreneur Socials that have regular networking events for entrepreneurs to engage and connect with purpose driven individuals who value collaboration and problem solving. Our mission is to help achieve the United Nations Global Goals by creating a space for impact driven entrepreneurs to connect to the right knowledge, network and opportunities.

This December, instead of having 1 speaker, we are hosting a panel discussion with our speakers, Chris McGowan and Adam Monaghan who will share their journey from Corporate Executive to Purpose-Driven Entrepreneur.

Chris McGowan
With an aspiration to help people all over the world have better access to physio or rehab, Chris created Lusio Rehab — a company aimed on helping people being affected by brain injury or illness through the use of technology. Together with their business partners, Lusio has been working with allied healthcare providers, aged care centers and other great organizations.

In the next 5 years, Chris’s goal is to change the mobility of 10,000 people through Lusio Rehab.

Adam Monaghan
Adam brings a diverse professional history to his role as Chief Connections Officer at Ellect. After studying nursing at the University of Sydney Adam applied his trade in ICUs and Emergency Departments both in Sydney, Australia and London, UK.

Throughout his career and personal life Adam has seen the disparate nature in which our world is structured. Be it chronic poverty, a lack of education and endemic unemployment in South Africa or systemic global gender imbalance in business, Adam has observed and experienced how the scales are tipped in favour of men and boys.

Adam’s personal experience with mental illness and addiction gives him a unique perspective on chronic disease and its affects on our income and employment opportunities. Adam is paced front and centre in the drive for change around mental health and addiction in the work place.
