Come along to listen to our speakers, watch our performers and wrap up the night with some tonic elixir's and plant-based treats!

WHY

As purpose driven entrepreneurs who are deeply passionate about supporting local businesses and helping them thrive we thought the best way we could do that would be to start building a community of like minded individuals who want to build genuine connections and help each other to succeed.

WHAT

Byron Shire ES will form part of a global community of more than 900,000+ innovative, creative and social entrepreneurs to engage and connect with like minded people who value collaboration and problem solving at the highest level. Our mission is to help achieve the United Nations Global Goals by creating a space for impact driven entrepreneurs to connect to the right knowledge, network and opportunities.

All Entrepreneur Social events follow the same general format across the world 20-min Speaker + 20-min Q&A + 60-min Networking Session. Entrepreneur Social Speakers are social entrepreneurs who are impact driven and are doing something to make a difference in the world. They have found a way to create ongoing flow towards profit and purpose and have a story worth telling because they are impacting one or more of the 17 Global Goals and they are on an entrepreneurial journey to make this happen.

WHO

The event is for anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship and social impact and would like to network in a relaxed social environment with other locally grown professionals and business owners, to share success stories, challenges faced and discuss the strategies that will propel us forward.

WHO IS SPEAKING THIS MONTH

Scott Sunny Duncan

Scotty Duncan is a human being being human.  He’s trying to navigate his way through a marvellously beautiful and confusing world.  He is also known as a social entrepreneur, meditation teacher and consultant or someone that loves waves and rainbows.

His personal why is to elevate consciousness through love and he has dedicated his life to empowering individuals and organisations who are truly aligned with improving the well being of this planet and its inhabitants.  

Scotty is a Founding Member of ygap an International Development not-for-profit with an innovative approach to poverty alleviation.  ygap back impact entrepreneurs with solutions to local problems in some of the world’s toughest communities to date improving the lives of 620,000 people. ygap also run the Polished Man campaign focused on ending violence against children.

Scotty has also been intimately involved with 1 Giant Mind an organisation inspiring people to take up meditation as a daily practice to improve wellbeing and reduce stress.  They do this through a smartphone app and an online teacher training program.

He has also spent over 20 years working in his Families international textile business Linen House.  Over his career whilst working, volunteering and travelling in over 60 countries, Scotty has also navigated several episodes of burnout and mental health breakdowns and breakthroughs.  He has explored a vast range of Eastern and Western healing and personal development pathways and openly shares stories from his experiences to enable others to live their best lives.

WHEN

Every month we will gather for conscious conversations, real connections and social support.

We will get underway at around 5.30pm each month and wrap around 8.30pm depending on the speakers and entertainment.
