I'm looking for hardware that can handle a few years of mining, not just something that'll be outdated in a few months. I’ve had bad experiences in the past buying hardware that didn't last or became unprofitable quickly. Now I want to invest wisely, preferably in a machine that’s well-reviewed and stable. What’s everyone here using long-term?

If long-term stability and value are your priorities, I’d suggest digging into a guide I found on captainaltcoin about the top bitcoin mining hardware 2025. It covers current models like the Antminer S21 Hyd, Hashivo B1/B2, and WhatsMiner M66S, and explains not only their technical specs bu... t also how they’ve held up over time. I was personally looking for something with strong efficiency, and the guide helped me spot the difference in power draw vs. output that’s not always obvious from spec sheets. For instance, the Hashivo B1 offers 11.0 J/TH at 500 TH/s, which was a sweet spot for ROI on my local power rates. The article breaks everything down—noise levels, cooling needs, daily profitability—and even suggests which miners perform better in warmer climates or with limited ventilation. That extra layer of context was key for me. Show more...
