Rainy season is definitely here, and I’m running out of ideas to keep the kids busy indoors. We’ve already cycled through the usual board games, baking, and movie marathons. Looking for fun spots or activities in the Bellingham area where we can escape the rain and still burn off some energy. Preferably things that don’t require a full-day commitment or cost a fortune. Anyone got suggestions for indoor fun that works for kids and doesn’t drive the parents crazy?

What I’ve learned with kids and rainy weather is that flexibility is everything. Sometimes just switching up the routine — like heading to a local library event or doing an indoor scavenger hunt — is all it takes. Doesn’t have to be fancy, just something new to shake off the boredom.

Totally hear you — those rainy days can drag when the kids get restless. We’ve tried a mix of things over the past few months, and honestly, some of the best ideas came from just browsing this Online Directory Ferndale, WA. It’s not just Ferndale stuff — they list all kinds of local activities, including a few lesser-known indoor options around Bellingham. We found a fun art space there and even a little indoor play area that was a hit with our youngest.
