I'm trying to find a few tradespeople (plumber, electrician, etc.) but I don’t want to rely on Google ratings alone. Is there any directory out there with verified businesses in Northern Ontario? Something more local-focused would be great.

Really appreciate you sharing this. I’ve been burned a couple times lately by listings that looked solid but ended up being outdated or just plain wrong. If this site is actually focused on local businesses and keeps things current, I’m all in. Gonna try it out and see how it goes. Thanks again for the recommendation!

Trying to track down someone reliable — whether it’s a roofer, plumber, or even a dog walker — can be frustrating. I’ve had better luck using tools that are actually made for the area, like the Local Business Directory. It’s focused just on Northern Ontario, so you don’t get buried in listings from across the country. I’ve found a few solid businesses there that didn’t even come up in regular search engines. You can see their contact info, location, and what they actually offer — no guessing. It’s helped me avoid the “is this place still open?” problem more than once. If you’re after something local and verified, it’s definitely worth a try.

In business it is even worse. The issue of physician credentialing often looks like bureaucratic hell, but if you dig deeper, the numbers are even scarier: in 2025 the average time for document verification in US clinics reaches 92 days, and each delay costs the healthcare system about $7800 due to missed appointments and idle specialists. I saw how a network of clinics I know had their branch opening disrupted because three doctors couldn’t complete the full verification and the facility sat empty for three months. We started looking for solutions and found automated credentialing which actually cuts the process almost in half. Have you ever had entire projects stall because of paperwork bottlenecks?
