Lately I’ve been feeling really drained after long hours at my desk. I’ve read that standing while working can improve focus and posture, but I’m not sure how to even start transitioning from sitting all day. How do you actually integrate standing into your work routine without feeling exhausted or awkward?

Even small adjustments like repositioning your monitor, adding a supportive chair, or taking micro-breaks can reduce strain and boost focus without completely overhauling your workspace.

It’s definitely a bit of an adjustment at first. Many people find it helpful to start with short intervals, like 30–45 minutes of standing, then sit again. Over time, you can gradually increase standing periods. Another factor is having the right desk setup—an electric standing desk is perfect for this because the electric standing desk lets you adjust height easily, so you can switch between sitting and standing seamlessly without interrupting your workflow. Pairing it with a supportive mat and ergonomically placed monitor and keyboard really helps prevent fatigue, and you’ll notice your posture and energy improving within weeks.
