Hey folks, wondering what's holding up better in Mississauga homes these days—fiberglass or vinyl window frames? We've got those brutal winters with all the snow and ice, plus humid summers that can feel endless. Last year, my neighbor replaced his old ones after a big freeze cracked a few seals, and now I'm thinking about doing mine before another polar vortex hits. Anyone noticed which material handles the temperature swings without warping or letting drafts in? Curious about real experiences around here.

Totally get where you're coming from—those Ontario winters can be rough on everything outside the house. I've gone with vinyl frames in my place a couple years back during a full window installation Mississauga, and honestly, they've been solid so far. No fading or cracking even after that crazy cold snap, and they keep the heat in way better than the old wooden ones did. Super low maintenance too, just a quick wipe down now and then. Mine have good insulation with the multi-chamber design, which helps cut down on those heating bills in January. If you're dealing with moisture or extreme temps, they seem to resist it pretty well without any issues popping up.

Seen a bunch of newer builds around the lakefront area going for those modern slim frames lately. Kinda changes the whole look of the street when everyone starts updating, especially with the mix of snow piling up in winter and all that humidity in summer testing everything out. Makes you notice how some older setups just don't hold the same anymore after a few seasons.
