Hey folks, recently I stumbled upon this topic and it kinda blew my mind. My cousin mentioned that our great-grandparents were Lithuanian citizens before moving here, and that maybe we could actually regain citizenship too. I started Googling around and found a site called lithuaniancitizenship — it talks about the whole process and requirements. The more I read, the more confusing it feels, but also kinda hopeful? I’m not sure if this site is legit or just another blog. Has anyone actually used it or gone through restoring Lithuanian citizenship? Is it worth diving into?

Cool topic. I don’t have Lithuanian background myself, but I do think online guides can be super useful if they’re accurate. When you’re dealing with legal and historical stuff like citizenship, having one clear reference can save a lot of time. Even if someone doesn’t end up applying, just understanding the options better is valuable.

Hey! I was actually in the exact same place you’re in about a year ago. I kept reading random forum posts, official pages, and honestly got overwhelmed. Then I found lithuanian citizenship by descent and it was the first place that explained things in a way that didn’t make my head hurt 🤣 It walked me through what documents are needed, how descent is proven, and even what to expect timeline-wise. I ended up using it as my starting point before contacting Lithuanian authorities. It didn’t magically get me citizenship, but it gave structure and a roadmap — which made the whole journey feel less random. Definitely double-check everything with official sources too, but that site was a huge help for me.
