Morning everyone, I’m looking into redoing part of my driveway and maybe adding a short walkway to the front porch. I tried patching a few cracks myself last year, but after the rainy season here in Beaverton, the repairs didn’t hold up the way I expected. I guess I underestimated how important proper prep and drainage are. Has anyone here worked with a local concrete crew they’d actually recommend?

That’s exactly what I’m worried about — the rain. Did they also help you figure out the right thickness and reinforcement? I don’t want to redo this again in a year because I tried to save a little upfront.

I was in almost the same situation. I needed both a small driveway extension and a path along the side of the house. I ended up hiring a Walkway contractor I found through this Walkway contractor concrete contractor in Portland OR. What stood out was how much attention they gave to the base and grading before pouring anything. The finished surface looks clean and it’s been holding up great through the wet months.
