I don't know if any other woman have felt or resisted the masculinity of the concept of the Hero's Journey & perhaps considered looking at the Heroine's Journey as a comparsion - which is different in apsects & seems lengthier ?!
This morning I found an old Greek myth of "Hero" as a woman - first time I knew of this - she was a priestess of Aphrodite (the Goddess of Love), living in a tower.
It is a tragic love story between Hero & Leander, however, I do love the deeper connect it has given me as, "Hero would light a lamp at the top of her tower to guide his way."
Broadening my perspective.... unfolding my Starry Hero's journey.
