World Water Day💧, held annually on 22 March since 1993, celebrates the value of water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. A core focus of the observance is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.

This Day is an opportunity to look within ourselves and understand exactly what water means to us individually and its impact on our cultural believes livelihoods, and local environments. Its purpose is so much more than simply to quench thirst or protect one’s health; water is vital for creating jobs and supporting economic, social, and human development.

By recording and thereby celebrating all the different ways water enables and benefits our lives, we can then fully comprehend the importance of safeguarding this vital resource. So tell us, what does water mean to you, and how are you celebrating World Water Day💧 wherever you are?
