At the moment if an event has been organised, there is no way for the organiser to send attendees a reminder of the upcoming event.
This will be changing soon and you will be able to send notifications to attendees of your event, an 'x' number of days in advance.
As for whether the 'x' is a fixed number or one that can be changed, we'll find out when it's released!
