Metaverse 5.0
The Metaverse is the next generation of the internet - the internet in 3D! The technology has advanced so much that we can now have avatars in the metaverse and socialise, work and purchase goods in there. It will extend 2D webpages into 3D worlds.
Many companies are also using the metaverse to plan and streamline processes. Digital twins are built of warehouses, infrastructures and houses, and even the earth is being created in the metaverse to track and predict the effects of global warming.
The metaverse will be used as a training ground for robots, where they can learn and experience real-life challenges. Tesla uses the metaverse to test their driverless cars to ensure they are prepared for all eventualities. We will also see interactive avatars or AI-powered chatbots answering customer service queries, fact-finding and offering advice. These advancements will totally change the jobs market as we know it.
