University of Antelope Valley (UAV)

Social media has played a crucial role in empowering people from all walks of life to pursue their dreams, and Kat’s story is a perfect example of that. As a single mother, Kat faced many challenges in her life, including raising her child and balancing work and personal commitments. Despite these challenges, she remained determined to pursue her dream of becoming a registered nurse.

However, when she applied to the university for the Registered Nurse class, a conflict in schedule prevented her from enrolling. Nevertheless, her interest in pursuing her education grew more evident from her engagement with UAV’s Instagram posts. At this point, the University’s social media manager (known as Ya) took notice and proceeded to open up a dialogue with Kat. Ya took a personal interest in her situation and provided her with that last bit of human-to-human motivation.

Through their interactions, Ya was able to understand Kat’s situation better and provide her with personalized guidance and support. This human connection played a crucial role in helping Kat re-enroll in the University of Antelope Valley and pursue her dream of becoming a registered nurse.

The UAV account is now quickly closing in on 2,500 followers. Special thanks to the hard work and personal touch attributed by Ya.
