Welcome to Business Balance Sheet! My name is Chris Eldridge and I’ve been building and running businesses for over fifteen years now. In that time I have been involved with operating business at both the management and board level. I’ve been involved in getting bank funding, raising funds from investors, mezzanine funding as well as the acquisition and sale process.

During that time I’ve learnt a lot. I’m not going to tell you I know everything, because I don’t, but I’ve worked with plenty of people on both the purchase and the sale side. And what I’ve noticed is that the people in the middle are typically the accountants, the lawyers, and the bankers. They all make money, whilst the people who have done the work often don’t get the true value of the work that they’ve done.
