This is a student who recently graduated from the Mathews Secondary School in Supingstad (Madikwe) close to Tau. During our iLAB we visited the school and met the students. This student wants to study nature conservancy but doesn’t the financial means. They have appealed to Bopa Monyetla an organisation run and funded by Jo Roux, she’s facilitating the residents of 5 communities around Madikwe to set up micro-industries supporting rhino conservation education & rural entrepreneurs. We are making a huge contribution through the Tau Foundation to support the schools and welfare of the students but we can see what’s happening to these kids when they leave school with very high expectations. As an investor and a graduate of the Tau iLAB 1, my personal mission and promise to Madikwe is to help Jo support these students and their communities.
