Vector Blog: Animal Magnetism
I was invited around to my girlfriend’s farm the other day, to come sit with the puppies. Her Australian Sheep dog birthed 9 healthy puppies 3 weeks ago. Not only did I jump at the opportunity, my husband and my children did as well.
It got me thinking about magnetism.
“In physics, magnetism is a force that can attract (pull closer) or repel (push away).” It is a property of certain substances which pull closer or repel other objects. This definition, lead me to think about the gestures of sympathy and antipathy. As a deep soul feeling, where we are stimulated from the inside to act towards or move away from the “other”. It is a sensation beyond the physical body.
Being in the presence of these puppies awoke a warmth of sympathy, of magnetism, for each of us. We sat calmly, speaking in whispered tones for hours, cuddling, holding and caring for the well-being of each of the pups we held. When they whimpered we responded immediately, we drew in closer, held them securely and soothed them back to sleep.
Our summertime talks drifted into sunset discussions floating between the slowdown approach, acting locally and thinking globally, motherhood and business strategy.
As I prepare for a stronger presence in 2019, in the world of the Entrepreneurial Movement with the Vector System, I willingly embrace this calm before the storm.
The setting on the farm was heavenly divine, fostering a sensation of gratitude and majesty in the natural form. The animal noises drifted over the dam from the surrounding paddocks, by this time we sipped our wine and enjoyed the human silence in the company of precious puppies and each held visions for a magnetic 2019 with our communities, tribes and people.
