The Tau Foundation was set up to fund projects in the community near our Tau Game Lodge in South Africa.  One particular project has been supporting the local Supingstad school.  Over the years, this has included installing fencing and safe keeping of the school properties and upgrading the school sports fields and playgrounds.  It has also supported the renovation of school buildings and facilities, setting up vegetable gardens, and computer rooms, creating a Borehole and installing guttering, water tanks and toilets with running water at the high school.  Tau Lodge is also supporting the school by buying food produce from them, such as eggs and vegetables for use in their kitchen.

Michelle Clarke, Chief Marketing Officer of Genius Group recently visited Supingstad school and shared that the children are doing great with a 90-100% pass rate in their education.

The school keeps goats, cattle, and chickens and grows vegetables to help feed the students. Whilst Michelle was visiting, the goats were due to give birth, which was great news, but they did need a new stud goat as sadly the last one had died. Michelle set up a Go Fund Me campaign which helped raise additional funds for a new stud goat and also to build a new free-range chicken run. The new stud is now settling in well with his new family.
