Tevin Polk's journey at UAV was sparked by the opportunity presented by Coach Jordan Mast, who offered him a chance to earn his degree while continuing to pursue his passion for basketball. Determined to make the most of this second opportunity, Tevin embarked on his academic and athletic journey at UAV.

During his time at the university, Tevin earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, fueling his dream of one day opening his own sports facility. However, the path to success was not without its challenges. After being away from school and sports for over three years, Tevin had to refocus and get back into basketball shape, all while balancing a job to support himself. Yet, he stayed resilient and committed to his goals, knowing that the journey would be worth it in the end.

Tevin's perseverance and dedication paid off, and after about 4 1/2 years of hard work, he proudly earned his degree, even amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic. Being a first-generation graduate, Tevin's accomplishment holds immense significance, making his success even more special.Inspirational words from his father, "If they don't, YOU DO!" have been a driving force for Tevin throughout his journey. This quote instilled in him the value of always giving his best, supporting his teammates, and being ready to step up when needed.
